I cant get K-Lite 2.4.3 to connect with a SOCKS5 proxy, I'm using FreeProxy 3.5, the configuration is fine since all instant messengers can connect through it. If there is no way around this can anyone tell me a tunneling program that works through a HTTP 1.1 proxy (http-tunnel and socks2http do not work) :frusty:

go HERE (http://proxys4u.proboards24.com/index.cgi) and see if you can find what you are looking for.

Do you have the right host and port# under options in k-lite(options/k-lite/firewall)

Yeah I have the same settings in Firewall as in my instant messengers thats why i'm :frusty: because they work fine. I'll search for error403's essay.

I've searched the posts and found this (http://klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=62694) post by REALITY but none by error403, anyway its about anonymous proxies.
firefox I've posted at proxys4u, here (http://proxys4u.proboards24.com/index.cgi?board=QuesSocks5&action=display&num=1073024790&start=0) is their reply.

I've got K-Lite to work with Proton a SOCKS server chaining utility but it only connects once when I install (tried both KLR 2.4.7 and Clean KMD 2.4.4) after that it wont while other software works fine with it. Is this some bug in Kazaa? :helpsmile:

@pirpu
keep trying the socks5 proxys it takes a few minutes to connect also, make sure you check the proxy you choose your self, to make sure it is still alive.

with chain proxys as soon as the proxy changes klite will have to reconnect again and with chain this just keeps happening, so use a single one, the site firefox sent you has good proxys, i get mine for klite there, but you need some patients

@sprockett I went to this (http://proxys4u.proboards24.com/index.cgi) site (firefox gave me the link). You'll have to register there first. This (http://proxys4u.proboards24.com/index.cgi?board=QuesSocks5&action=display&num=1073024790) is the topic I started and this (http://mycattastesgood.nce.buttobi.net/ProTon_1.0.0.7.zip) is the link ethix (one of the admins) gave me but I'm not sure it will work now. I dont know what you mean by "my resnet has blocked..." but I got connected and was able to d/l.
NOTE : All these problems occured when I was using K++/KLR builds, I have since then switched to K-Lite 2.6 and I can connect through the SOCKS proxy :D

@MUSLEMAN I was not chaining proxies I was just using proton with one proxy in the list, the one thru which I access internet (1 hop) because Kazaa was not connecting using it directly.

you were using a socks5 to access the internet??

anyways i use klr 2.4.8 with socks5 just fine, try a few different ones and remember when it comes to proxys, you have to check them yourself then use them, you can't just pick one and use it, cause you never now when they are dead or alive :lol:
