i downloaded gta3 the ripped version. 138mb
but when i click on the .exe file it doesnt work.
a msdos window opens and then closes...

Download WinRAR (http://www.rarlabs.com), try and open then extract it with WinRAR.

No problem pol, it happens. :D

it was the same wit me i had d/l 4 of them and all of dem were da same so i jus gave up

Try the Kazaa lite corruption fixer, it can be found by searching these forums or maybe Google.

KrackHead, you've become all helpful since you became a mod. I'm not saying this is bad, but moderate means to be a mediator, it doesn't mean you have to be nice to everybody :P

I tryed to repair it on winrar but it just kept saying everything was corrupted...

try double clicking the setup msdos batch file (it's that file in the gta3 folder along with the exe that has picture of a cogwheel on it, and is a very damn small file)maybe? worked for me, it extracts everything like the sounds, cars and stuff, then click on the exe, pls read the nfo's b4 trying to play :D

Oh, I don't understand this. Couldn't you run the file you downloaded?

Or couldn't you run a .exe extracted from a file you downloaded?

Check the file extention on it.I believe I have read on here before that people change the extension so that the file will show up as software or something like that.You may have to change it to .bin or something and open it with ISObuster and than install it. Good luck

just read what i said :o . god, it would so much easier if you followed the instructions i gave you, it can't be an iso or bin of gta 3 cuz it's only 138 mb's, its a rip:

Your version is half-ass and should be discarded.
If you have broadband, i suggest you get the Full CD Images for GTA3 off Bittorrent, Emule, or IRC. (kazaa allways currupts on images, but rules with everything else.. so i aint dissin nothin! :D )

dude, why would you want to open with isobuster? the 138 mb version of gta3 on kazaa is a rip of the game, not cds. just run the setup file in the gta3 folder for god sakes :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

I just want to know if he is having problems extracting it or having problems AFTER extracting it.

ok,is there a file called setup or a file called UHCHA(something around that name)????? if there is open it go make ur self a sandwich and it will install the game,atfer that u click on the exe file.if there isn't too bad...

u dumbasses,it is not an ISO file the ISO file for GTA3 is 738 mb u fools.
i downloaded that file and it works

Its UHARC mate, a compression tool.

He downloaded a self extracting archive. Inside was a .bat that uncompresses files. The .bat opens in MSDOS. You've got loads of posts mixed up.

I don't understand why you need ISO buster to open a self extracting archive?

At most you should need WinRAR.

Oh yeah, what was the problem in the first place? Was it an .exe from inside the self extracting archive, or was it the self extracting archive itself?

You just told me that in your post above. No need for big evil post. I didn't know. I'm sorry if its usually self extracting archives that are usually used, so I just try to answer the question as best I can. A .pif file? The guy who made this said .exe
