Im looking for a good lcd monitor with a fast response time ( under 20 ms. ) without speakers and arround 18 or 19 inch...

Price arround 6 or 700.00 usd.

I want to use this for general surfing and some games like ut2k3, Halo, call of duty ect. Game playing is only a few hours a week :( .

I have been looking for a long time but cant find much info on response times in most overviews and tech specs . So I thought the k-lite guys would know, does anyone got any ideas ???

Once you bought it and got it, if there are any "dead pixels" you should immediately take it back and demand a refund.

Pretend you got a 1024x768 native resolution LCD monitor. Thats 786432 pixels you should have viewable. But, you only really get 786429. This can be very annoying, and if you get on but they say its standard to have one or 2 dead, tell them that if they don't replace it, then it was falsely advertised, since it said you get 1024x768, but you don't.

Alot of places, like newegg on their LCD's, have a minimum 3 dead pixel clause.

In the UK we can legally return the item within 7 days of purchase if we are not satisfied with its quality.

EDIT: its not exactly 7 days, but megh, I'm tired so I'm not doing research.

well you pay for the cutting edge if it has 30ms and higher you ghost on fps but 20 - 25 is bad, but the bigger and faster you pay more, my next monitor will probably be a crt until the plasmas come down in price
I don't need the lcd coolness factor

I thought that the Lower the ms it is the better the lcd moniter. not the higher...

Is that right????

I cant seem to find anything lower than 25 ms in 18 or 19. Except the dell for 1000.00 usd.

Would I get any goasting on a 25 ms. ???

im not into LCDs, but if it gets a good review on PCMAG or MAXPC then id get it cuz my CRT is making me get a headache

(btw) some smart@$$ guy patented a method for using the radioactive element in CRTs to stimulate the nervous system and trick it into anything, including, but not limited to:

1) relaxation
2) anger
3) depression
4) loss of stool
5) sudden high
6) sexual stimulation (including Orgasms, ewww!)

actually, maybe ill stick with the CRT a little longer

dont believe me? search the patent office. ull find it

i just saw the new "Report" feature on the board. whats that supposed to do?

just get a radiation filter for ur current CRT and ull avoid the headache

yes sorry thats what I was trying to say, you can get a 17 inch with 16ms or wait
personally its up to you you said you don't play games but you want the very best, choices you have to make like I said 20 -25ms isn't bad but its nowhere close to a good crt

The big advantages to LCD monitors are size and weight. Thats about it.
