Just open regedit, make sure "my computer" is highlighted, and from the file menu click on "export". Then just save it wherever you want. if you want to restore it do the same thing , but click import and open the file you saved. :)
this workes for 2k and xp, at least. i think you have to click "backup" or something similar in 98

hmmm, gonna have to review some info then
not supposed to be able to use regedit for backing up whole registry
something about encryption or coding or something
see if i can find the source again
but hey, if it worked for you, great :)

heres the source, with links to ms for more info
(in case your current back up dont do the trick)
link (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/199762382617?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam)

(but keep in mind, if youve used the jv prog for a month now,
youve already changed your registry)

lol if you dont modify your hardware...i dont think that should be the problem.... besides this encryption they talk about is prolly just default stuff windows has.... no need to back up other way.... all you actually need is ur software keys (thats what you are actually backin up, right?)
