I just would like to know why i was banned from a channel.I used thad methed was was put up in the pinned section at the the and just copied and pasted the command.Then i got this meesage on the screen,

DyN-CelticFan> (AUTOMATED MSG)Congratulations Is In Order! You have just been banned from my xdcc server. Reason: Timer/MSG Spam

What i would like to know is what did i do wrong.I also seen after me that a lot of other people were being banned so it was`nt just me.

Should i ask for the rules before i ask for a file to download.????

did you use the noob help or the advanced guide?

If you used the advanced it is because you used a timer. Somechannels dont allow them

What`s a timer ????

And how do i stop it happening again.

I did`nt use the advanced guide because i`m a noob at this thing.

hmm...did u use any irc scripts that contains timers? did u download any scripts?
or perhaps...did u enter /msg many times within a few seconds?

I think i tried twice.I gather you not suppose to do this but when i tried the first i did`nt see a reply.Deos this mean i`m banned for good off that bot or channel.????

u prob got banned spamming the channel

if u use timers set the time interval to be 3600 or longer

a timer is a command that repeats a special comand every set time, for example the /msg command every 5 mins

Some channels ban you because of spamming if you use this.

I think its only a temp ban check back tomorrow if you can get in again.

u also could have picked up 1 of those spam virus's ...
