just got my 1st dvd drive for my new pc.
if say i wanted to copy a dvd film that i may have to my hd to share what would i need to use and how.
sorry if this should be in software world.
thanks in advance
ps i have read faq and it took me to doom9.net which i have read but still unsure which to use.

SmartRipper or DVD Decryptor. Both are free.

thanks for your help i have downloaded dvd Decryptor.and installed will try it out then give SmartRipper a try to see which 1 i prefer.

just be aware that ripping a dvd to you hard drive (uncompressed) takes up a lot of room, maybe 6GB or so.

ok so what is the best way to do it so it is compressed and what is best to use.
