It had to come, so here it is:

I will not swear and curse at J'Pol anymore
I appologise for any problems i may have instigated - it wont happen again
I admit i blew my top - it wont happen again
I will submit to my inner self
I must stop smoking
I will continue drinking
I will end all my posts with Peace
I wont make many friends but i shall try
I will be rich this year

I will not make a New Year's Resolution this year. This way, I won't have to suffer the disappoinment at my failure to uphold my New Year's Resolution. In fact, I will have saved myself the trouble of wallowing in self pity, despair and self-loathing due to my utter lack of resolve. As I see it, not making a New Year's Resolution will make my life just that much better. :)

In college, I was just about the most apathetic student ever. I just had no interest in my major or in doing well.

One semester I made an oath to a friend that I was starting "Operation: New Leaf". I will go to class, I will read my books, I will excel in my academic career.

He said, "Sure turn over a new leaf if you want, but you&#39;ll still be the same old tree?"

Now that was a classic.


Anyway, he was wrong and I was right. Success in life is all about mental toughness
