Why is the FBI controlling IP adresses for legitimate businesses and institutions? I don't understand this.

Just download and use a program called 'Peer Guardian'. It automatically blocks most of these IP addresses for you without the need to enter all those IP addresses into your firewall software. You can add any others you want and it's free.

how would u incorporate this list into k-L so that u wudnt allow urself access to them??
i know u can do it in emule, cos there is a file called ipfilter.met that u can add these ips to.

Just wondered, with regards to the program 'Peer Guardian'...

I am on a LAN that has a small, low-powered PC used as the server and a gateway to the 'net - there are 3 of us using the one connection. So whilst my actual IP address is x.x.x.x, the IP address of the gateway (and the one that I assume Kazaa uses, and all the sites that grab your IP) is y.y.y.y.

so I was wondering if installing the Peer Guardian would make any difference on my PC - would it have to be done on the server? I have got a massive range of IP addresses being blocked by Norton IS, but is that just p*ssing in the wind as they don't get blocked at the actual Gateway?

I am begining to wonder whether to care about all this RIAA / Mediaforce stuff, as so many people say that it won't really affect us... anyone know if people in the UK are at similar/different risk?

Once you have obtained the given ip address you can alter
windows to block any access to your computer .
It was resently writen in pc mag.
There for you could program you computer simply enough to keep the F.B.I off your computer (with the new list of ips)listed below.
It was published so users could block pop ups or pop downs even without a firewall.

Also a good idea ,removing spyware .
its becoming very common on kazaa and in free software downloads.
Example Have you ever tried to play a media file when you get a meesage saying something like "unfamiliar file extention do you want to continue?"then a promted yes or no.I believe these files have been implanted with spyware .
Because ive check my media files with a spyware checker

and has found spyware in "my shared folder" for kazaa lite
ive used it to check my whole system and i would reccomend it .Its free easy to use and important.

has ,can and will sell it to other companies.And is now becoming know as a lead. Its confirmed as being a money making bussiness.

Hey, I've got zone alarm pro, does anyone know an easy/quick way to add ips to be blocked, adding all those in the list would take me till xmas. Or (i don't know if zone alarm works this way) is there a file of blocked ips that i can dload and paste into ZA folder??

In the mainsite of this website (not the forum)on this URL kazaalite (http://doa2.host.sk/) there is a file which was released on 17th February this year,does this not do like the same thing like PeerGuardian cause with it no one canīt use the command "find more from this user" so no one know what you are sharing unless they search for it?

I agree. I did use a list before and spent a couple hours inputting the info but the list I was using wasnt nearly as long as that. It would be very handy to be able to quickly input that list. I also found that several sites I do want to go to were in ip ranges from the list I used. Now when I want to go to a site that I know is there, I end up turning off zonealarm. I really dont like that. I would like to know more about this peerguardian software. Maybe if I use that, I can stop blocking sites with ZApro and if I cant reach a site I can just turn PG off and leave my firewall up.

:blink: I'm confused. I don't care if the FBI checks my computer. I doubt they really care if I've downloaded a few songs or movies.(I'm sure they do it too). They're looking for terrorists and pedophiles and if you are one, I hope like hell they get you. What's the point of blocking those IP's if you're just an average person?

If one reads the companies accoiated with the list. Banks, colleges, manufactures, stc. Do "they" (FBI) owned/run these bussinesses?or just their Internet connections?

It's funny/scarry what some government agentcies could/would do with unlimited-funds :(

That person was uploading songs, not downloading them. On another note, the RIAA can kiss all our asses. It will be a sad day for this country when Verizon or any company has to turn over user identities without probable cause to anyone who simply fills out a form. The music/movie industry will keep up this fight to the bitter end, but they aren&#39;t going to win that case. In fact, there is a very good chance that it will progress to the Supreme Court. Verizon certainly has the resources to fight it, and the RIAA isn&#39;t going anywhere either. :huh: --
