So as usual a Hip Hop topic is interrupted by another stupid fuck trying to provoke a bit of flaming. Typical!!!
Anyway, 3rd Gen, are you still wanting the names of good instrumental tracks?? Or do you just want a list of songs like everyone else seems to put?? Another solution would be to actually go to a record shop and look for them. This might possibly involve interaction with other human beings though - sorry. Plus you might have to part with some cash, which I know most of the deadbeats on this forum are loathed to do!!

As for Scribblec talking about "Old School" - hilarious!!!!

i just wanted the names of some good tracks to listen to
whether i already had them and just had to look for them or whether i had to get them...

there aren't any decent record stores where i live, and i'd rather take the advice of some of the learned members of the board than have to travel 30 miles to leaf through stacks of records :)

Just wondered whether you wanted the instrumentals to sample, freestyle over or whatever. ;)

"there aren't any decent record stores where i live, and i'd rather take the advice of some of the learned members of the board than have to travel 30 miles to leaf through stacks of records"

That's where all the fun is?? Finding a track no-one else has and then looking at their faces when you play it - that's what it's all about!!! And you'll learn a lot more than you will on some poxy forum. Plus there's no substitute for vinyl ;)

some "underground" stuff...

sage francis/non-prophets (last true school session, hey bobby, whore monger, damage)
atmosphere (gods bathroom floor, a girl named hope, guns and cigaretts, caved in, lost and found)
josh martinez (nightmare, deep end, theories, exile, women loving women, under abstract art)
awol one (rhythm, sleeping all day, devotion, revolution, greed, farmers market of the beat)
non-phixion (black helicoptors)
talib kweli (the human element, the blast)
immortal technique (poverty of philosphy, no mercy, peruvian cocaine)
jedi mind tricks (blood runs cold, contra, the executioners dream, heavenly devine)
jean grae (hold you)
visionaries (audible angles, humanitree)
pharoahe monch (the truth, simon says, the light)

i could go on and on, but most anything from these guys will be good... i put some note worthy stuff in ( )'s
