I know this is a stupid question, but can someone tell me what is the best p2p software obviously in terms of speed?

If you want speed then is Bittorent.

I used that but it was really slow for me. Everytime, even for newer films.
Try ABC(yet Another BitTorrent Client) (http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/) just switched to it from Shadows, don't know why its faster than Shadows, its built on top of the Shadows client :D

for music use blubster B)
Use Ares, for replacement of Kazaacrap, then use Bitorrent with SuprNova.org...for a great combination P2P Experience :D

There is no "Best" App imho.
I use SS and Torrents, i get what i want and the way i want it. ;)
Pretty much useless topic imo, like punch of girls arguing over candy.

Soulseek - Music rares, full albums, anything
Overnet - Anything really. Hard-to-find stuff too.
Bittorrent - For confirmed downloads.. avoid bad files 'n' really fast downloads too. I suggest the BitTorrent U-0.8.3 [Multilanguage] client. And use TorrentSearch (http://www.torrentsearch.org) to find those silly files. Or Suprnova.org. Yeah baby.
KazaaLite Ressurrection - Last resort program.. just in case :D

Have a look at the EMule/EDonkey forum for more info on Overnet.

Couldn't agree more. Depending on one's needs, each app has its strengths and weaknesses.
SoulSeek, eMule and FTP groups work best for me at the moment, but KL++ was better suited to me a year and a half ago. If I my needs aren't consistant over such a short period, how can one or two apps tailor themselves to millions of users. Try a bunch and use what works best for you. ;)

Hello!
What ever happended to Musleman he was one of the most knowledgable here and now I have'nt seen him anyone knows why he dissapeared?
I like Kazaa Lite 2.4.3
It is the only app that occassionally let me reach my top speed of 2500Kbit/s. Kazaa has the potential to be very fast unlike those Gnutella clients where I have never gotten over 1Mbit/s and mostly download at a maximum of about 700Kbit/s.
