Looking For Some 2d Rpg Games

I'm looking for some 2d RPG games exactly like those listed where you control the character fully. :)

- Alundra (ps1),Teranigma(SNES), Illusion of Gaia(SNES),


I do not like those shnip-shnap games where you have those battle modes where, when it comes to battle, you kick somebody then you have to wait for him to kick you. Enter this to kick, enter this to punch, blah blah blah, it's just not my thing. :P

Well there aren't many of the type of RPGs you're talking about. Two series I know of that use that system are Tales of Destiny and Star Ocean.

Yeah I forgot about those for a bit. Also I think the Mana games are of that type of RPGs.

Mana relied on levelling up; kind of like the Final Fantasy series.
Personally, I found levelling to be a real drag.

But if you don't mind it, I should also suggest Shadowrun (SNES).

Just remembered other SNES titles that fit the requirements:

Brain Lord
Actraiser 1 & 2

...although the Actraiser games could also be called Action RPG/God sims....
