Mame Question

I just downloaded the kill instinct rom. for mame emu like it says, I didn't have the emu yet to run it so i got it from mame.net My question now is Its only in a dos type format? I no nothing about commands to path it and such,, I read all the commands in txt file, I stil dont get this..

[B]How can I run this game its in .chd format, Is there any other mame program i can use to run it instead of using the MS-DOS thingy?? :helpsmile: :helpsmile: :helpsmile:

Read up on the MAME website. I'm sure it will tell you how somewhere.

Strange though, I thought the frontend for MAME came built into the installer these days... maybe you're using a beta?

whatever it is I got it from Mame (http://www.mame.net), cant never get it to open, I even tired Mame32 doesnt reconize that .chd

MAME32 is the simplest version to use because it has the built in GUI... stick with it if you aren't a fan of the command line.
