Has anyone seen this movie??

Jesus fucking christ i downloaded it and watched it, My god this should be rated Triple X.

Its not that the movie was extremely gorie than other horro films but its based on a true story and the nut case killer was never caught, just think about it he is probably still doing it and no one has excaped to tell the police.

This movie disturbed me, im not normaly taken by horror films but thats because i know their fake, but the fact that this story is true, it real gets to you.

Whats your thoughts on it.

BTW was that police footage real??

If you want to know more about the killer this was based on, check out the movie
Ed Gein (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0230169/).

More info on Ed Gein here (http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial_killers/notorious/gein/bill_1.html) as well.

That is the guy leatherface was based on.

No its not a urban legend... the director made it up

I doubt anyone that old would still be on this forum

READ THE WEBSITE
"You could never image how many e-mails I get from people saying "Did you know the Texas Chainsaw Massacre is true" or "A friend of a friend was in jail with the real LEATHERFACE". Who ever thought of putting that intro at the beginning of TCM with the narration of John Larroquette forever engraved this untruth into the American psyche. I hate to break it to you all.... The Texas Chainsaw Massacre isn't a true story."

your mum or mom (American way!) was probably thinking about when the movie was made. She probably thought it was a real story too.

because its was advertised as a true story..... & memorys get twisted with fiction over time.

Just thought you Texas Chain Saw Massacre aficionados would like to see this.....I'm sure you know about the Britney Spears marriage fiasco

Britney Spears and a childhood friend, Jason Allen Alexander, were married about 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning at a Las Vegas, Nevada, wedding chapel, reportedly after watching a video of
"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre."

What was Britney thinking?....(read the article here) (http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Music/01/06/spears.marriage/index.html)

there is no chainsaw guy

all that stuff about tcs being real is JUST BULLSH!T

this move is VERY VERY losely based on this one guy named ed something who used to live in wisconsin. He murdered like 2 or 3 people and made furniture out of human skin

he was mentally insane and is spending the rest of his life in an asylum

True Story or.......NOT??

Read about the Urban Legend here (http://www.snopes.com/movies/films/chainsaw.asp)

"....Writer/director Tobe Hooper said the inspiration for the film came from his spotting a display of chainsaws while standing in the hardware section of a crowded store"

"....Hooper has also said that he based the character of Leatherface on Ed Gein, a Wisconsin farmer who robbed graves (his own mother's supposedly among them), allegedly engaged in necrophilia and cannibalism, and murdered at least two women in the 1950s (one of whose corpses was found hanging naked — decapitated and disembowelled — in Gein's residence)" Ed Gein (http://www.houseofhorrors.com/gein.htm)
