Hiya...

After having a duff experience with an Oracom mp3 player...I'm thinking of getting an Iriver through Amazon in the UK which looks an excellent deal (if you're prepared to be patient for it to turn up)...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...3848221-2609401 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00009MPAF/ref=sr_aps_electronics_1_2/202-3848221-2609401)

So what's people's experiences with them?

I'm also looking at Cowon's iaudio 4 (CW400)

but it seems to have been 'on the way' for a very long time and from what I've read their are some firmware issues in Korea that have halted it's export to other regions...

I don't want to hang around forever..so opinions if you please..

Get a Creative Rhomba. 256MB, FM Radio, direct recording, just like that first one but a better brand name and £30 cheaper.

I'm afraid I'd rather set fire to my privates than buy anything by Creative...never liked any of their hardware and their software and drivers are bloated and can be ugly to get rid of.

I've always had good experiences with Creative. Oh well.

Go with whatever floats your boat.

OraCom 256MB (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000CGUXW/qid=1073309449/sr=1-7/ref=sr_1_11_7/202-9836054-0943840)
Thats much cheaper than the Iriver and does exactly the same.
