according to this the ti4600 is a Little bit better..

but ti4600 is based on DX8.1 :frusty: :frusty:

but i can get the ti4600 easier and its less money and frustration then the 9500pro...

(i can get the ti from a friend whos selling a NEW ONE for cheap but for the 9500pro i have to buy from ebay and hav to pay S&H and all tht crap :angry: )

Ti4600= Dx 8.

Radeon 9500= Dx 9.

More or less, the Radeon is optimized for Dx 9, where the 4600 is not. For instance look for benchmarks on 3dMark2003, and see the scores.

For the general consensus, I am pretty sure that most people think that the 9500 is a better choice. Its what I have right now too btw.

But of course, the price there seems to be a big difference.

Still think I would go with a 9500 though.

Buy the ATI cuz it has more compatibility with newer games, and the drivers are supposed to be better than Nvidia's....

How about buying the Vid card locally....

id go with the geforce ti4600, yeah ati makes good cards, but the ti4600 cards were awsome cards. and look at that price!! the ti4600 will last just as long as the 9500 will last. nvidia's drivers are pretty damn good to. i love there new drivers they got out, games run faster, and look better when using them to. its ur choice, and im prolly gonna get flamed for this, but get the ti4600. the price alone is worth it.

Dont worry about filepirater, every single gfx thread, he goes in, flame at the guy to get another post count, then leave and feel good about himself <_<

if you're gonna upgrade, might as well upgrade to a card that support dx9.0....i know there arnt many game that support this featur out there right now, but if you stick to your 4600, you're gonna have to upgrade to a dx 9 card pretty soon

yea but its not dx9 compliant...if he upgrade, might as well make it last a bit. More and more games are coming out w/ dx9 technology so if he has a 4600, hes gonna have to upgrade pretty soon if he want to see some of hte eye candies
