I know I should allow Nt Kernel and Generic Hosts...but what about all those c:\windows\system32\("insert filename here") files? there's a whole bunch of them.

also...with norton internet security...I would constanlty be notified of trojan attacks on my pc...does sygate block these attacks as well? or do I need a seperate trojan defense?

Don't worry about those. In the main Sygate window, check "Hide Windows Services," and they won't be visible.

Mate block everything...Excluding your main programs like browser, download apps & there update features.

Nothing else needs to access the net mate. unless you're using it. :)

a list of my blocks
still functional pc, browser, p2p, you name it

application layer gateway
client server runtime processes
ndis user mode
nt kernel & system
windows messenger (real important)
windows explorer

only allow what you want to have internet access
ask yourself, wtf does win explorer need internet access for?
dont think it does
windows messenger? big security risk

just play with the settings a little,
and get it to your needs
but IMO, you dont need to allow half the sh*t that pops up
