Try GSPOT, it show you which Codecs you need to see the movie.

In the right corner you see, my movie is coded with DivX and need DivX to play.

Hey i got a problem
i just downloaded :
Lord Of The Rings Return Of The King Lord.Of.The.Ring.Return.Of.The.King.(loGisTic).TS.(1of4).avi 1 177190
as suggested in http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=92854
I get 10 seconds into the movie and it stops. I got your suggested program and it tells me there is 'Bad Chunk In Frame Data'
Any ideas on how to tackle this?
Thanks In Advance
