well, i did realize that my comp is running a little high on temps so im gonna buy some fans what not cables, so heres my budget no more that say 40$, well my first question is the stock cooling on a pacakge pc is usually not great right? if so i wanna replace the hsf cause it is incredably loud, a new 80mm case fan because theres a hole for one but there isn't one, replace my ide cables with round ones and maybe replace the psu fan if thats possibe, i did check newwegg but before i buy there and help would be nice, as companys do tend to rip you off on accesories if your no at the right store

Spend your money on a case fans first then maybe a fan adaptor to put a 80mm fan in your CPU. Round cables last (least important).

What CPU are you trying to cool?

I do believe that the palamino is a real hot head ;) but this cooler should be just right for you : http://www.spirecoolers.com/fcc.asp?ProdID=105 its cooling my other computer which is an xp2000 with 3 case fans (80x80) one on the front side one on the back side, and i cut a hole in the side pannel and added the 3th fan so it blows directly towards the cpu cooler.
And the cpu cooler is realy quiet. (21.1 dba)

If you get that fan, be sure to take off the *flashy* metal guard.

It will quiet the fan down even more.

Yes the Palomino's do run hotter than the thoroughbread processors I find.I went from an XP2200+ (RIP) to an XP1900 Palomino and I noticed an increase of about 5 degrees celcius under a load.i hate the fact that it runs hotter,I am contemplating going watercooled.
