Open it with WinRAR and then burn or mount the bins and cues.

Mad Cat

Yes, you can burn them onto a blank CD or mount them virtually using Alcohol 120% or Daemon tools. Look at the newbies guide at the top of this page, and for others in Softwareworld. I believe Wizzandabe made a guide to using Alcohol 120%.

EDIT: You can also use any other programs that support burning CD images, like Nero Burning ROM.

it doesnt say how to do it virtually, so do i burn the whole .tar file, if not how do i find the .bin .cue

Right heres a guide on what you need to do.

1. Download WinRAR from here (http://www.rarlabs.com/)

2. Open the .tar file with WinRAR. If it doesn't associate the .tar with WinRAR automatically right click the .tar file and select "Open With," then click "Choose Program..." Scroll down the list and double click WinRAR, or click "Browse..." and find the main .exe file for WinRAR in your WinRAR folder. They should be a .bin and a .cue file for each CD you will need to burn.

3. WinRAR will load up. Drag the files shown in the window into a folder, or extract them to a folder.

4. Load up a CD burning software package like Nero. Select a burn CD image option. Go to the folder where you put the files that came from the .tar file. Select the first .cue file to burn the first CD. Do the same for the next CD.

5. You are done. Install the game.

6. When you have installed the game, go to a "Crack" folder on one of the CDs. Copy over this .exe to where the normal game .exe is placed.

7. Play!

If you don't want to use up CDs burning game, look in Softwareworld for Wizzandabe's Alcohol 120% Tutorial. Go to the section about "Mounting" CDs.

You use WinRAR to open the .tar file. The bins and cues are in there.

Mr. Elmo

Thats a very good point dray, but I'm not sure that he has actually found the files he extracted yet. I'm just waiting for him to post :P

If it is loads of .001 files you just open the first one with WinRAR, then follow my instructions above basically.

Open the first .001 file with WinRAR once you have extracted them from the .tar. Then follow the guide above.

Dray_04
01-09-2004, 12:16 AM
or you could try opening winRAR, browse to cd1, select all the numbered files e.g .001 .002 etc. and extract them to a folder (or just to your desktop), once all the files are extracted there should be 2 files in the folder you created. a .bin and .cue.

am i right mad cat? i did sumthing like that for halo

TURBO NX R1

Cotton
01-09-2004, 01:20 AM
Yes.

What burning software do u use??

If its nero goto file>burn image and then search for the Cue file and click open, then burn.

Do that for each Cue file you have.

BTW Cue + Bin = 1 Cd Image.

TURBO NX R1
01-09-2004, 01:33 AM
well i just got alcohol 120%, do you reccomend nero over it?

TURBO NX R1
01-09-2004, 05:59 AM
ok i got nero. so i only need to burn the 2 cue files?

Dray_04
01-09-2004, 06:55 AM
no.

open nero, find 'burn image to disk"

and select the .cue from cd 1. this should automatically mount the .bin also onto the cd when you choose to write.

**** 1st .cue and 1st .bin = 1st cd image****
**** 2nd .cue and 2nd .bin = 2nd cd image****\

ok after uv burnt the 1st image select the 2nd cue and write the 2nd cd.

so i only need to burn the 2 cue files?

yer, burn the cue files, but make sure your only burning one cue at a time, ... not both the same cues on the same cd.

anyway i think u get the point, let us know how it goes :01:

It should be in a .nfo file that came when you downloaded the game.

Go to your My Computer window. Right-click the CD drive that you have inserted the NFSU CD into. Click on Open. Look for a folder called "Crack." Go into this folder and click on the .exe file in there. Copy it (with Ctrl+C or Edit > Copy after selecting it). Go to where you installed Need for Speed Underground (you can right click the shortcut on the Desktop, click properties, then click "Find Target" to go directly to the game .exe). When you have found the game .exe, paste the Crack that you copied earlier (by pressing Ctrl+V or Edit > Paste). Click Ok to the "are you sure you wish to overwrite this file. You should now be able to play.

Copy the speed file into your Need For Speed Underground directory.

If you would have read guides this post wouldn't have been half the size it is.

Dray_04
01-10-2004, 01:42 AM
k dude, try this method

download this (http://www.megagames.com/news/redir.cgi?http://www.ad724.com/download2.php?gel=pcgamefixes/NEED.FOR.SPEED.UNDERGROUND.V1.0.ENG.DEVIANCE.NOCD.ZIP)

then once that is downloaded, open up the ACE, RAR, or whatever its in, and copy the file named speed (this should be 3.03mb roughly, if it isnt then try it out neway)
then go to "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Need For Speed Underground\"
(I am assuming that you installed the game there)

now right click an empty space and paste.

a message saying
This folder already contains a file named "speed".
Would you like to replace the existing file with this one?"

then you click yes.

now double click speed. it should run the game. if a message in the game sez insert disk 2 click accept, and it should run perfectly from there.

KEYGEN is what you want (code) this will able you to install the game after do as people have said replace the SPEED to the folder the game was installed to or it will ask you for Cd1.
