You can get bittorrent here (http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/)
and suprnova or novasearch is a good place to find things to download.

torrentstorm (http://www.torrentstorm.com/) is what I use to download torrents.

To download using bittorrent, you go to one of the torrent sites, and click on the link. Open or save the .TORRENT file, tell you client where to save the total file and your torrent client will do the rest
