hmm okay, new question...
How do I set my bios to automatically boot from CD first, if as soon as i set it up i get an option to start Raid configuration somethin and then it says "NTLDR is missing. Press Crtl-Alt-Del to restart"??
Kai
you sure there isnt a screen before that? One that does a memory check?
If there is, press del or F1 to open BIOS, and you should be able to configure cd rom primary boot from there

alright, i know how to once i get in to bios, but i didn't see an option to get into them last time, but thanks ill try again!
Kai
EDIT
no dice...
no menu or any possible place to hit F1 or del or anything, just a RAid configuration and thats it
I'll try to work with it though

Need to turn off to see memory count,if you can't see then that means your monitor is coming on after the "del" as gone.
I think you press "tab" in raid it shuold show something.

it's b/c you have a floppy in your floppy drive.

Alright, thanks
I'll give that a try
And its not my monitor being turned on to late because i already figured on that and tried turning my monitor on and waiting for it to be fully powered and everything before even hitting the power switch on my comp, so its not that, but ill try the tab thing

Ho by the way answer to your question
What must i do now and what is a NTLDR??
I havnt installed my OS yet or anything
Short for NT Loader, a program loaded from the hard drive boot sector that displays the Microsoft Windows NT startup menu and helps Windows NT load.
Often a user will see the message "NTLDR is Missing" after attempting to install Windows 2000 or Windows XP, or upgrade a Windows 95-based or Windows 98-based computer to Windows 2000 or Windows XP. The message appears after the first reboot. This occurs only if Windows 95 or 98 has been installed on a drive with the FAT32 file system.
To correct the problem, the user must boot the computer with a Windows 95 or 98 Startup diskette or another bootable diskette with sys.com on it. Then, at the "A:\>" prompt, type "sys c:" and press "enter." A "System Transferred" prompt should appear and then the user must reboot the computer without the diskette.

i had this prob too
1) did u use a HDD from another PC?
2) if not, how new is your mobo?
search the forums for all topics done by me or sniper123 and u will find alot of helpful info posted by other users
chances are, u may need to reflash ur bios
wait: completely erase your HDD in the winxp setup (if theres anything on it) and make just one partition. then, install XP onto it
simple enuf rite?
