ok when i try to view a wmv file from the net as it streams i get an error i cant see any of the video and can only hear the sound :angry:

anyone know the problem??

are you sure you have the right codecs?

ive done everything ive installed all latest codecs and it still wont work

it loads up but the title is in red and only sound comes up this is starting to piss me off

and its a wmv so only media player should be able to play it so why isnt it working?

You could try coping the addy then open it in wmp itself

file ,open url. :)

These setting are enabled by default but you could double check.

Top of the browser windows ,internet options , advanced ,under mutimedia ,play video in web pages....for ie ,look for similar option with something else.

I did as you said and read it - all it is offering anti rip - so websites who use media files can be "certain" that their media gets stolen.
I dont see a problem with it-anyway i find wmp9 alot better (if i use it ever)

also check ck-uk - seems to be on the right path

You can turn DRM off.


In WMP9...

Tools > Options > Copy Music Tab

Uncheck "Copy Protect Music."

Also, under the Security Tab, make sure the "Run script commands when present" is unchecked.

no you can&#39;t turn it off

do not install wmp9 even if you have a restore point and go back to before you installed it, it still leaves wmp9&#39;s drm on your pc
