Scanning D/l'ed Files

If your virus software is up to date with "virus defintitions" shouldnt it catch the virus's and worms and or trojans in zipped,.iso,bin,cue,rar..tec...etc IF the file is scanned before opening???? I was under the impression it would...Hope its not false hope. :unsure: :unsure:

If you want that an antivir scans inside of an archive file you have to set it in options. Most likely it'll find a virus/trojan/whatever.

If your AV has a realtime scanner, it will most likely catch the virus while the file is being downloaded. If not, your going to have to scan the file manually before opening it.
