View Full Version : Pub Crawl T-shirt Designs

Skweeky

Ok, after discussing this with a few people we thought it would be fun to have t-shirts for the 'pub crawl'.

As we want to keep down the price a bit, it'd be better not to use too much colours.

The idea would be to have some sort of logo, and text saying sth like ' I was at the Glasgow Pub Crawl 2004'
And a place for everyones name would be nice too.

So, open that photoshop, paint, powerpoint, iphotoplus4 or whatever and start designing!!!

skweeky, to keep costs down, people could make then theirselves, using the heat transfer thingys. all you need to do is decide on a design, buy the heat transfer pack and then iron the printed out design to the t-shirt. btw proper t-shirts will be £14 each roughly. i got some made last lads holiday we went on. mine had "she said she was 16" on it.

OOOOOOOH fancy!

Hell, if it's too expensive, everyone just come in a plain white t-shirt and I'll bring some marker pens :D

Skweeky
01-10-2004, 10:27 PM
That's more like it.

And our nicks in big letters at the back of the t-shirt then?

Skweeky
01-10-2004, 10:28 PM
Don't worry Mouse, those things to iron on clothes aren't that expensive, here you can have them made at the copy shop

WeeMouse
01-10-2004, 10:32 PM
:) ok.....but it would be fun to design each other t-shirts!

Think of what we could write at the back of MArc's.............. :shifty:

Skweeky
01-10-2004, 10:34 PM
Well, of course we can sign each others t-shirts :D

Would be great!

Good good.......gotta decide on times and stuff though - so our aim is, say, 10 bars?

i can start searchin' them. But i've never been on an organised pub crawl before (been on a few REAL crawls  Not a pretty sight  )

Yeah, it's fairly easy to organise.

Just need to find the right pubs, make sure we can get group coupons, decide what drinks people can choose from.

The date would be february 21 for now and I guess we'd better not start too late. Let's say around 7PM?

No, 5 is too early, the idea is that you have one or two drinks at every pub.

Yeah Mouse, we definitely need to scout the route before starting. We also need to make some sort of tickets everyone gets. They can pay before we start, that way no one has to worry about money

i'd say we should start in the priory in strathclyde union
cheap drink and shiouldn't be too busy

i'd agree with spider in that 10 seems a little over zealous, 4 or 5 would be a much more realistic estimate :)

Isn't there an area where all the pubs are really close together? That way we CAN make 10 pubs

everyone puts in a certain amount of money at the start of the night then that's used over the night, rather than different people just buying rounds?

yeah, that's what I mean noob, think that'll be easiests

and yeah, but that's only 2 pubs, there will be people that actually want to see a part of Glasgow I think, so I'd like to expand it a bit.

We can start there though

A drinks kitty! Yes! But how much do you reckon?

If we go to the city centre, we can go into soooooo many bars it's unbeleivable, plus it would be great for people who were travelling.

it depends what everyone will be drinking

guinness costs more than vodka and coke so that'll have to be compensated for...

call it an average of £1.50 or £1.75 per drink?

I was thinking about selling them using Zazzle (http://www.zazzle.com) - Makes it easy to distribute them non-profit and those who want them can buy them that way (saves me cash and waste then :D) :) Could be an idea to do the other designs (or the "official" design, whatever - I'm not sure how we're doing this, I just make some bloody designs ), but like I said - could

We might not all like it, but we are. Calling yourself UKMan includes Scotland. If you want to be a prick about Scotland, call yourself EnglandMan, WalesMan or NothernIrelandMan. There's nothing to be harmed by a UKMan's pride by doing something involving Scotland.

You know fine well that I find 'jokes' like that distasteful at the very least, and you should also know that I don't give a damn what beef you have with pol - you're discussing it like civilised people, so there's no real problem.

Late entry :)
I think it looks nice. Problem is it'll be a pain to do if you use the iron on transfers. You'd have to print the images separately and iron them on separately.

Cant remember if we decided on a design and I'm too lazy to look back!

No, we haven't decided yet, but I think it's be best to have a plain text and a small logo or sth.

also if you have an account on that zazzle, you get a shirt for $13, plus if you make it available for public sale, you get an additional 15% discount. also the designer of the shirt gets 10% of all sales, and we get another discount for buying in bulk. so if someone wants to set up a paypal account, and all those interested can transfer the necessary amount into it. we can get the t-shirts sent to someones home, i suggest a glasgweigan. and either send them out or distribute on the day.

p.s. looks like i will be able to get the days off work, i sent my boss a text message.

i think supermod-monobrow should be made in charge. i can set the zazzle account up for him if he likes, cos i think people trust him and if he runs off with our money we can kick him from the board.

Unless someone decides on a design, i'm just gonna go to a printshop to get one made up...

Maybe just the logo above with the nick below...and have the "Glasgow Pub Crawl 2004" on the back or sth....

Rat Faced
01-23-2004, 09:08 PM
Ok I did the zazzle thing here (http://www.zazzle.com/products/product/product.asp?caching=on&product%5Fid=235803065055052555&index=2)

I made it customizable for buyers, so we can add nicks under the logo or something.

Any "Profits" from this will be donated to charity or the board... however as you have to make $25 before you get "Royalties" i wont hold my breath on making that decision
