Any one know where the cheapest place to buy hard drives is? Preferably an internet site who deliver in the uk.

Thanks

have a look at www.pcindex.co.uk (http://www.pcindex.co.uk), it's not a shopping site - more of a search site, it has the major UK online sellers and shows the cheapest place

Pricewatch (http://www.pricewatch.com/) is good for finding rock bottom on all computer apparel. (I sound like a damn commercial  )

I was going to recommend my local shop, Microdirect (http://www.microdirect.co.uk/), as they have the best prices around these parts - but when I looked on ebuyer I couldn't believe how much cheaper it was!

If only delivery was less I would def. use ebuyer in the future, but Microdirect is my local and within stumbling distance - so it also has a face to shout at lest things go t*ts-up :P

I agree that Novatech is good - when I am looking for cheap bits, I always take a look at Scan (http://www.scan.co.uk/) too.

Out of interest, does anyone use Dabs (http://www.dabs.com/)? I don't, as they only accept Credit Cards & I don't have one. I think Dabs is a bit expensive myself.

I've just used pcnextday (https://www.pcnextday.co.uk) to buy a Maxtor 120Gb Hard drive.
(My other disk was full)

I was able to use my switch card, and the delivery was after 1 working day.

Price Watch Ownz You! Phear the Imitators! (http://www.pricewatch.com)

You cant beat pricewatch for searching mass amounts of retailers.

I actually was going to buy the new 180gb IBM gxp from Google Gear, not affiliated with google, just cheap prices (http://www.googlegear.com), it was $223, but i actually managed to get one on EBAY! (http://www.ebay.com), for a mere $180 dollars, brand new, full manufacturer warranty. Cant beat that! saved like 50 bucks.

So check ebay now and then, deals come around if you up and about the right times of day.

BTW... the above HD is the fastest IDE on the market! Oh ya baby!
