Well it wasn't until the majority of this board suggested the Google Toolbar that i downloaded and installed it. I have nothing but great things to say about it. Only had it a week, and it's blocked 412 pop-ups already. Very small in size too.

Check out the Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/).

Google Toolbar. :lol: :lol:

He needs a ad blocker not a popup blocker.

@sh, have you tried tweak-xp

Edit: I take that back sh. zonealarm is the best.

Well I haven't any of either since I installed the Doogle Toolbar so it has to be working ok, otherwise I'd be asking the same question :D

Why play with HOSTS when you can use Firebird with the AdBlock plugin?

Hello!

Is it possible to temporary disable Google Toolbar when visiting a site that requires pop Ups for its function?.

Hold down the 'Ctrl' key when clicking on the sites link. If you're going to encounter loads you can always allow them from the site by clicking on the icon itself.

i use mozilla firebird to browse the net some times.

when i go for some serials or cracks them sites tend to come up with tons of popups and with firebird it blocks all the popups

The problem about the brides ru ad is that it is hosted by the same server as the rest of the board. AdsGone can block certain server domains, so when it tries to block that one, the entire board cannot be viewed. But it is very useful for other banners. It comes with a built in list of servers to block, and gives you the option of periodically downloading new server blocking info from the creators website. To blobk a certain domain, just click "host list" in the "Ad Types" tab.

I noticed somewhere that you said that you used Zone Alarm Sharedholder, Does the adblocker/banner blocker thing not work correctly for you?I realise that it doesnt integrate well with browsers other than IE6 and if your using a different browser then just dont pay any attention to what Ive just said... :rolleyes:

Ad Muncher (http://admuncher.com) is the best. I highly recomend it.
It stops only un-wanted pop up. It is smart enough to know when you want a pop up. whats best is then it is very small and installed very small number of files

Admuncher needs a online check patch and a keygen if you want to actually use it.

zero popup is THE best. just got it. i got smetin to suggest fm now on. ITS IMPRESSIVE. blocked everything at www.popuptest.com but sme ppups showed then suddenly closed like Come & Go Test showed 1 wen i entered, modeless window showed, floating banner loaded, but they ALL closed after smetime. but the high tech shit remains. it DONT block good popups n even got a white list
