Norton's Anti-virus

When updating norton's antivirus 2003, I get ....symantec common client updates, then "live update was not able to complete this update" and windows xp 5.1.2600 service pack 1 common client core 1.0.2 is the heading.
Its asks to contact technical support and provide all info.. also my copy of this program was obtained from kazaa lite. What does this mean and what problems if any can this cause? Any cures. Thanks.

Download the last Symantec Live Update and install it , then try again.

it takes about 3-4 reboots to finish getting them all. Sucks...but it will, eventually, get all of them..I assure you.

Yea it sounds like it's not able to access the updates online. It sounds like a firewall problem.

I can update other virus definitions but not the forementioned one only. I have a firewall made by nortons. I'll try foolin with it and see what happens.

if you rebooted and you continue to get this (after a few reboots) then maybe your copy is bad.
