Sound Card

i my dell 4600, i reformatted and now the sound card doesn't work. i went to system then hardware and everthing seem to be working. i tried to install them anyways and it still don't work?
what could it be?

maybe u should try to install newer drivers?

right click on my computer and go to properties,t hen go to hardware, device manager and see if there are any things with question marks or red "X"s on them, if so then you probably just need drivers

yeah thats what i did through control panel, system, device drives don't work
