View Full Version : Will My Cpu And Motherboard Work?

im getting a new mother board in a few days

all im worried about is any issues

i have a
PSU output of 300W
CPU athlon 1ghz

PC CHIP Mother board (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3NwZWNpZmljYXRpb25z&product_uid=51760)
also im getting 256DDR @ 333

all i want to know is
1)will my MB be ok with my CPU
2)will my PSU be ok with the MB
3)any CPU & RAM issues

(im strapped on cash so ill get the rest of the parts in about a month)

As long as your CPU is a socket one, which it should be being an athlon, (I have a 900Mhz AMD, but its slot.) then you should be fine.

the 300W PS should be fine too.

Then it should work.

Another great thing about AMD, is the compatability. Socket A has been AMD's config awhile now, except now with the 64bit processors.

What are you running now for a motherboard? Whatever it is ,it can't be too much worse than a PCchips board.If I were you I would wait a bit longer and save a bit more money to get a better board.I believe you will be more satisfied.This is of course if your board is working fine,if it is dieing and you just need to get threw until you can afford something better then by all means grab the PCchips board.
