It's just Adobe's new "Design" Bundle:

Photoshop 8
Illustrator 11
etc.
etc.

adobe.com

if you're just looking for photoshop and/or illustrator you don't need to download the 1gig+ version, they have those progs up seperatly

Beats me. I still use AP7 and have no need to use CS/8. It's probably just because I'm not that much of a super-designer hehe. :)

cause the files i got were all bin/cue....

@ SH - they'll probably make some compatable plugins sooner or later
or does cs just not support plugins at all?

The file I have been TRYING to DL offa kazaa is um.. 5 CDs i think, and according to adobe.com..... URL=http://www.adobe.com/store/products/creativesuite/master.jhtml?id=creativesuite]Product Page[/URL]
"Adobe Creative Suite Premium Combines
Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS,
InDesign CS, Golive CS,
Acrobat 6.0 Professional, and Version Cue"

I love Adobe and I think getting all of the creative suite, even though i have no idea how to use it.. .would be an accomplishment to my nerd-dom, lol
I mean, i have played around on PS for about 5 months now and I know it pretty well.
I think it'll be cool to check out the other programs.
and maybe if i'm crazy enough, i'll buy it some day.

well enough off-topic blabber

Plug-ins for Photoshop DO work in Photoshop CS (8.0), but they DO NOT WORK WELL. Boy, I tried and they simply didn't work the same, and some are incompatible for the upgrade. CS has some great features, but if yo're not a power user, stick with 7.0. Also, if you have a lot of plug-ins, it takes FOREVER to start up. 7.0 starts faster.

Another thing, CS has this feature that disables you to open or edit scans of dollar bills, and some other popular currency such as the Euro. This has caused some people trouble....

As for myself, I went back to 7.0

I tried DLing it abour 4 times.
all of whx i got that little error saying that the location changed, i think it was... and basically, it wouldn't DL.
makes me sad.. :(

I have the CD 1 of 5 for the entire suite, but it's been forever... i wonder what happened to whoever was uploading it (on kazaa).
lol
maybe they got him!

I've installed everything and I've got one problem.

when I start PS then it says that it needs an archive.

does it say archive or scratch disk?

in file or edit look for prefernces - then go to scratch disks and put second scratch disk on c or d
also put memory up high
look in help for what scratch disk are

Seeing as I do alot of photoshop design for various people, ill stick with the compatibility and speed of Photoshop v7 thanks, but illustrator has me intrigued.
