Tonight I was finishing off this project for Uni that I've been working on for weeks and I copied it to a floppy so I could hand it in tomorrow.
I'm just about to take the floppy out and turn the computer off when all of a sudden I hear the floppy drive going mental. I was like WTF?? I didnt want to take the floppy out whilst it was being accessed cos thats suicide so I looked in the task manager list of processes to see what was accessing it.
Imagine my horror when I saw this program eraser (http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/) in the list using up loads of CPU! :o :o :o
I was like "NOOOO IVE BEEN HAXORED" :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
I thought some evil bastard was wiping weeks worth of work!! So I ripped the cable out of my modem like a lunatic and stopped the eraser process in task manager.
Turns out that the eraser scheduler was set to wipe the unused space on the floppy drive at midnight every night! :lol:
I almost shit my pants! :lol: :lol: :lol:
