I can see. They didn't make 400 million dollars. Yes, they are hurting...

As for "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," it has now earned $312 million after four weekends. It passed the $300 million mark on Friday, outpacing its 2002 predecessor...

I only download movies I'd never pay to see anyway, so I'm not hurting anybody. In fact after I watch a movie, I usually thank God I didn't pay for it. Maybe the industry should try a little harder to make good movies, instead of all these 'by the numbers' blockbusters that rely so heavily on force-fed advertising to draw people into the theaters. And yes, LOTR got my money and it was well deserved.

I thought the same thing, I heard the third one made up for it's production costs in just a week or something, and by then it had only been up in the US.

Everything since then is pure profits, I can't even imagine how much it'll make when it comes out on DVD.

I went to see it though, and I can see why it's doing so well.

Many movies made today are of good quality and most people would happily watch them. Howver to gain reasonable revenue to from said movies then they must be of exceptional quality.

Well, if you saw "Final Fantasy", the only real actors were the voice overs. Pretty soon, your Hollywood movie star is going to be a virtual being, created with a computer, just like the "Dead or Alive" babes.

Which reminds me. Has anyone ever downloaded Virtual Victoria? You know, the computer generated babe that you can pose and dress up, even nude. Anatomically correct. Photo realistic :D
