Freezing Mouse

Not sure what this is but anyways every so often it seems like my computer freezes for a little bit making my mouse freeze and then release it again. It's started today and it's annoying. Does anyone know what this is?

like, toying with the thermostat?

If it does this on your first boot say after five minutes or so once the drive as warmed up plus does it with any program, application etc I would start checking the hard drive its self the bearings are drying up so it can't spin right and find what its after.
Other option first is try another mouse but I have been here before on many machines in fact just before Xmas was one of them,do a scandisk for bad sectors too.

trying another mouse won't work, it even goes bad in safe mode :(

OK I have to define the cause.

What is the cause?

IT was working recently. The keyboard is fully functional untill the mouse stops. The mouse seems to be lagging.

Any suggestions? I really need help
