If you are asking if it is critically acclaimed then yes, Oscar nominations and so forth.

oops, lol. ok ok, its not the very beginning but like 5 min.s into it, a girl has sex with a guy that she thinks can get her into the big times.

Yeah, it has a burlesque kinda thing going. It's fairly true to the musical if you've ever seen it. The critics said Catherine Zeta oozed sex, but I don't see it. Richard Gere and the Renee Zellwegger have trouble keeping their hands off eachother though.
