Some time ago i used that pic for my avatar , a mod pm me and told to remove it.I know the forum rules and i don't want to start a flaming topic here but i really don't understand one thing: Topless pic's are allowed only in the lounge . Why the childrens can't go in the lounge ?I remember a topic here called '' POST YOUR PORN PICS...'' and it was ok, right here in the lounge .Is my pic topless enough to not be allowed on my avatar ?Btw the mod what i'm talking about is my friend and i want to remain my friend , if you read this just help me to understand and don't close this topic.

The only thing I can think of is that the "Post Your Porn Pics" was clearly labelled and anyone on the board has the choice to see them or not by viewing that topic.

Alternatively, an avatar is exposed a damn sight more - This is put on every single post you make, regardless on whether its to do with porn or not. If a member around as often as you are SH, then said avatar&#39;s gonna be seen in a LOT of places - Many of them nothing to do with porn

It&#39;s best that an avatar is kept from nudity for that reason - There are a lot of people here that don&#39;t like the porn spread around, some even offended by it. A whole can of worms could be brought up here, including having just as many pics of nude male models as there are females so I&#39;d seriously recommend a case of &#39;shut up and quit while you&#39;re ahead" :lol: ;)

Personally though, I get the real thing enough for porn not to be a factor of my equation B) :-"


If I was being totally honest, there was not that far ago talk of an 18+ area (Serious Note - NOT A PORNWORLD&#33;&#33;&#33; :P). The only reason why we don&#39;t have it is because there&#39;s no sure-fire way to distinguish the adult members from the kiddies.

This is an international board. There are plenty of countries where topless sunbathing, male and female, are commonplace.

The "POST YOUR PORN PICS" topic was moved to our trashcan as we don&#39;t want this board turning into a porn / topless pic board.

I have to agree that your avatar is more art than anything else but if we allow your&#39;s then others will use your pic as reference for their avatars and it will turn in yet another "why is SH allowed to use his one and I am not" topic.

Avatars are a global function which means that your avatar can&#39;t eb approved (even if it is more art than anything else). If we allow it others will continue based on your permission and the board will change to a topless avatar board.

Another sad note: such problems should be discussed with mods or admins as it is a problem (at least to you since you seem to care) and I don&#39;t support any kind of polls or member votes if it comes to global decisions.

I know that and respect it, I was actually drunk at the time and did&#39;nt think at the time and did apologise because it was wrong in that respect, I did&#39;nt think of the time zones.

The difference is that one is allowed here (in the lounge) and one is not.
You will see boobs in the likes of the Sun - would you expect to see a penis? I think not. Clearly they are different.

Now that the sarcasm is out of my system, now to the point - Things are treated in different ways for a number of reaons, but most are because of necessity. The posts of 7th & the mods respond to not only this situation but all others that may pop up in the future, which is why some of them may be irrelevant right now.

This has been said by a number of people before, but I think it&#39;s good to say it again - This is not a democracy, it&#39;s a semi-benevolent dictatorship designed with an original purpose (K-Lite business) and enhanced due to events.

A general rule of thumb is never to go any further than a mod has. This has its relation to jetje&#39;s avatar I admit - The thing is that if you go fairly bad (e.g. breaking a rule) yet a mod has done the same, you can claim it was that you thought the mod&#39;s breaking meant that it was alright. Course no-one&#39;s here&#39;s likely to stick to that, but it&#39;s always a fallback ;)

There&#39;s bound to be a few places where you can talk about this stuff to your heart&#39;s content - If not, well this is the Internet - Make one :P

We have many members that are minors.

I know this means nothing to most people, but this isnt an adult board...maybe even topless is too far really....
