I'm runing:

OS System:
OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional
OS Codename Whistler
OS Language English (United States)
OS Kerneltype Uniprocessor Free
OS Version 5.1.2600 (WinXP Retail)
OS Service Pack Service Pack 1
OS Installation Date 05.11.2003
OS System Path D:\WINDOWS

The problem is that not all windows are in that typical XP style (look), they are actualy like Win98,WinMe ... and not like XP.

About 10% - 20% of my windows are like that.Is there any option that I should enable ???

checked in the 'control panel>display>appearance' for settings?
have a look there and make sure its 'xp style' selected

do the windows that don't have the 'xp look' belong to programs other than windows?

No, it's not that. It's xp style, it's just that only some windows are not in xp style.

P.S.

My friend is using the same OS as me and on his PC all windows are in xp style ( we even have the same pc specs, as we bought our pc's together in the same shop)

well, forth Gen had a good question to address...

guess you could always go into services.msc
and make sure themes are enabled :P

(j/k) if youre getting the xp look on any of em it has to be enabled

yes, it's usualy happening with progys that are non-xp (like Winamp 2 & 3, IE explorer ... etc)

But on my friend's PC everything works fine and everything has a XP look. How can that be.it's the same OS, from the same CD, the same Specs, almost the same PC ????? :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty:
