M$ Defrag was developed by Executive Software, the makers of Diskeeper.
After testing M$ defrag then running diskeeper back-to-back, files were constantly moved and rearranged from one app to the other.

I myself prefer Perfect Disk as my defrag program of choice.
After testing perfect disk and M$ defrag I have come to the conclusion that M$ defrag accepts the arrangement of perfect disk and I myself notice a significant difference in how my computers responds.

Conclusion: Perfect Disk

M$ firewall was developed by the makers of Tiny Personal Firewall also.
They are also interested in Anti-virus software and a search engine like google to add the Microsoft name to.

Hope this helps,
Steve

Your settings must be wrong . Check defrag priorities . I would n't be with out my diskeeper 8 Best one I think. If thats the case also set to defrag when screen saver kicks in too. What the hey defragging when your not in front of your puter :D

As long as it works for you and your system then keep it.

How much space on those 120's is used space?

As for the settings, nah, sorry I test with all possible setting arrangements before I draw any type of conclusion. Have you tried Perfect Disk?

Skelley I 'll have to try it . I think of disk format when I hear Perfect disk. Does it boot defrag, mts as well? In a perfect world I'd bring back win95 defrag !

Yes it does, give it a try, I think you will enjoy the optimization ;)

Its been awhile since I have used 95 defrag lol, but I use Windows ME defrag on my wifes 98SE machine. Its 4X faster than 98's defrag, but she has been on me to install XP Pro Corp for awhile now, so that's is what is on tonight's agenda :)
