ive got broadband at uni but it wont let me downlaod using bittorent can i change the ports so its the same port as surfing internet and email etc plz help

The only advice I can give is forget about P2P while you're at uni.
If you get caught there's a good chance of you getting thrown out.

You could always try wireless
