I konow this might be a stupid question. but what program do i need to open a rar file beacuse i want to open k-dat.
And the program i need is it freeware?

WinRAR (http://www.rarlab.com)

It's not free, but you can still use it without regestering.

You can also use WinImp, which is freeware.

It can't create .rar archives though.

There is a winrar corp edition which is free, search for it and get it

I prefere winrar, I find it faster and better to look at then the slow winzip.

I agree.
WinRAR also has more cool functions for making archives, in particular the advanced sfx options.
With WinRAR you can make simple installers - check out my webpage and look at the Tetris installer for an example.

I dont see why, I mean this is a forum for a program where every file is downloaded illegaly anyway. I certainly would of posted a link by now if I knew how to, but now I know so I wont.
