I was looking at the Aopen AK79G Max (http://usa.aopen.com/products/mb/AK79GMax.htm) Is this worth the money and is it the best Aopen board you can get?

What about this which is better Abit NF7-S or the Abit AN7?
The An7 says something bout a secondary microprocessor called the ?GURU..
WHat's that all about?

Depends on the CPU he has. Most "middle-range" (2500-3000 i think) are 333FSB

Yes, but getting a board with a 400fsb mobo, is going to help if he decides he wants to overclock. and thats one of the main reasons for buying an AMD chip, well that and the price, but they go hand in hand.
Plus a decent board with 400fsb support isn&#39;t that expensive.

Take a look at the link again fellas.It says that it does support DDR400 but there are some types that may not work with it.

That would be memory, NOT FSB.

Oops,my bad.It was little early in the morning when I posted that.I didn&#39;t read it completely.

Watch out for the non-standard rear-panel connector layout on that Aopen board. I notice it comes with a back-panel I/O shield, but make sure the one in your current case is removable.
