ABOUT
Purge Jihad is an online-only PC computer game. It is a hybrid First-Person-Shooter / Role-Playing-Game set in the near future accounting a war between the diametrically opposed forces of science-fiction (the Order) and fantasy (the Chosen). Technology versus magic. Science versus religion. It is a great divine war, where followers pray for intervention from the extraterrestrial deity Evod or the supernatural deity Mabus.

Purge Jihad returns to its roots. Based on FvF Jihad (developed in 1997), Freeform Interactive announces the Purge Jihad. One of the most player requested features since the beginning, Purge Jihad reintroduces to gameplay the concepts of an alignment Deity, Altar, and Mass Blesses. Purge Jihad also makes large improvements over its predecessor by adding another original new concept: a Prayer System. With the release of Purge Jihad, Purge support will be discontinued. The full Purge Jihad game will also be available.

Look at the website idiot, it has nothing to do with Islam, its just a title. <_<

Besides that idiot, its a pretty good online game if you ask me, didnt see that many people on but it was still enjoyable.

Its basically UT but you dont have to pay for it, the only limitations if you dont register it is you dont get to use all 8 characters just 2 from each side, 4 all together.

Short story is Magic VS technology, you choose which to fight with, set traps and so on.

Pretty fun if you ask me.

Thats from the system req's recommended that IKE posted above.

I'm running the game with 128mb gx card so I'm not seeing any problems with it, it pretty much suprised me, when I played CS it used to get choppy on my cable connection and 64mb card, but this one has better graphics and doesnt chop up at all.

I am not a bigot. and i apologize if i offended any muslims.

When i see the word Jihad i think : from websters

Jihad

n : a holy war by Muslims against unbelievers [syn: jehad]

And Purge is to Cleanse. hense the title implys a Cleansing Holy War against non believers

And of course i dont believe in waring against someone because they dont believe the way you do.

But obviously my interpretation of the title was incorrect. i apologize

Just because it says Jihad doesn't mean it is based on Islamic beliefs. If you were more sensible you would realise Joihad means holy war - the second post says the game is based on a war between science and religion. Geddit?

Actually, now I have read all of the topic, you can froget everythign I have said.

I will never do such a thing again :( :frusty:
