i have borrowed my friends digital camera and have it plugged into my pc.

I have taken the necessary pictures but now my pc wont pick it up?

Can anyone help me out please? :)

if you dont have the disks that came with it you might try pressing [Ctrl]-[A] in IrfanView

how is it connected? if usb, it should pick it up automatically, but if its w/ the 15 (or w/e) pins connector, you need the included software to get the pics

USB.

I have tried plugging it in either of the 2 slots

EDIT: i got a digital camera for xmas and was able to access the pics with IrfanView, by pressing [Ctrl]-[A] but the software that comes with the camera has more features

Thanks for that but its still not picking it up :(

Its just not registering as being plugged in my pc :unsure:

did you reboot? maybe you need TWAIN drivers installed first, other then that i dont know.

What kind of camera is it? go to teh manufacturers website and look for a driver.

What os are you using? If its XP you won't need to install the drivers, but if its anything older you may.

One possibility why it may not recognise it could be because there is an Interrupt Request clash. You will need to go to the device manager to find out.
