I was hoping to cut my pc noise by replacing the case fan but... it was still loud as hell so I think meh it's still loud so i put my old fan at the bottome of the case for kicks.

So now lets look at the pro/cons

Pro: Temperature dropped 10 degrees C

Con: Sounds like a hair dryer

So should i only use one case fan like I did before?

i'd take a 10 degrees c drop over a noisier puter any day :)

well does noise drive you insane, make you bite your nails, or is it just an annoyance?

Are there any fan guards on the Fan that you can remove? That will help reduce a noisy fan if it has a noisy fan guard. Like my Volcano.

Expierence the sound of my puter in a 15sec mp3 file

maybe then you can figure out why it's so loud, but my fans are quiet, it's just something else

Got anything infront or behind of the fans at all?

Sounds like the air is speeding up around something extra.

can you record it again with the mic where you are sitting?

it'd give us a better impression of the actual volume...

i wouldn't have said that was too bad...i had to turn up my speakers to hear it (and i was listening to music at a reasonable volume beforehand)

can you store your computer somewhere further away from you?

under a desk or something like that...

Shit,I couldn't even hear it threw my earphones over all the racket from my PC .I wouldn't worry too much about it man.I been listening to mine for 6 months now and I can hardly hear it anymore. You just sort of stop hearing it after a while.

Where exactly are your fans? You have just one on the bottom and your temp droped 10C? Or do you have more? And do you just have it sitting on the bottom of your case?

Where "in the bottom of the case"?
The floor?
The lower front wall?

A ten degree drop is an extrordinary improvement...well worth keeping if you can solve the sound issue.

ofcourse the inside bottom of the case

Do you have an exhaust fan at top? Or do you just have the fan on the bottom of the case blowing up...taking 10C off?

You think your pc is loud?

A few minutes ago my graphics card fan was whirring alot, so i figured a cable must be knocking against it....without thinking, i just stuck my hand in there (pc on, I know I know, but i figured i knew which wire it was) and accidently put my thumb in the fan  ouch, snapped one of the plastic blades :frusty:

Now the graphics fan chugs like a bitch, it sounds like a small diesel engine :(
