the point i was trying to make is that your connection speed given by pc pitstop is 438 kb/sec (kilobits per second)

the speed at which people upload from you given in bullet ftp is in kB/sec (kilobytes per second)

since 8 kb/sec = 1kB/sec, you should expect that with an upload of 438kb/sec that you would be able to upload at approximately 55kB/sec in bullet ftp

what is the connection speed of those trying to download from you?

edit: correction

So your Cable connection: 10/1.5Mbps -> 10.24/1.536Mbps

= 1.28/0.192MB/s

internet companys try to confuse you using kB and kb and/or mb and mB
