Screen Goes Black And Pc Locks Up During Games

Can anyone suggest what the problem maybe?

During gameplay if I leave my pc for about 15 mins sometimes the screen is completely black and the keyboard doesn't respond although the lights are on.

this has happened during Mafia & Total Club Manager although it works fine on some games like NFS: Underground and GTA: vice.

the specs are.

Athalon XP 1700+ (not oc)
512 MB DDR Ram
GeForce 5200 FX (not oc, 128 Ram, Gainwood)
On-Board Sound
Windows XP

Lame specs I know but I can't afford a new one at the moment :angry:

how much is it? it could be a power issue

also, tell us wht drivers u have

Umm, this sounds just like a powersaving feature. Make sure you have them all turned off, you might try Google for instructions.

But if it's not doing it during other games, I wouldn't think it would be the powersaving options.
Sounds morre like a system lock-up while in those games,
Have you tried just reinstalling the games, and see if it happens after the reinstall?
