most of time the reason while u cant delete a file/program is because it is in use, i know this sounds too simple to work, but try closin all programs/processes that arent essential to windows, then try deletin it. I use a program called magic utillities, which is very handy, it shows u all processes that are bein run, includin hidden ones.

reboot press f8

go into command prompt only

delete manually

that's about all u can do <_<

Ok it appears to have gone.
It had changed my default home page in IE, which I changed back, and had put a short cut on my desktop, also deleted. Then I had found it in the windows folder and tried deleting it to no avail. I then tried moving it to mu DT and deleting it. It moved but wouldnt delete.. NAV didnt find it and when i went into safe mode it had gone. Did a search and nothing.
Could i now be clean I wonder?

warzes <_< theres your problem
only a prob if you say yeah to "download and run" prompts

have you checked in taskmanager to see if it maybe its running
and tryin to end the process?

i mean, its worth a shot before you go into ultra-super safe DOS mode,
re-format, change OS, throw a fit and beat the sh*t outta your HDD

yeah, i know, a little extreme huh? B)

so is safe mode and all that other BS if you haven't thoroughly checked the prob :D
