Hi - hope someone can offer some tips, as I recently tried to completely get rid of Winrar 3.2, which I was evaluating and which had reached it's deadline, and am currently still receiving the following prompt:

http://members.lycos.co.uk/pleasedowhatyouwant/WinRAR_30_Day_Trial_Expiration.gif

All of this is going on as I'd like to install a cracked version of 3.3 Beta, "WinRAR.3.30.Beta.1.Cracked-eth0", and I wonder if I should get this other issue sorted out first before I proceed with the installation.

3.2 had gone a few days over the deadline and had been giving me that warning before I uninstalled the program normally though add/remove programs. The WinRAR folder still existed in Program files with some kind of reg file (I don't remember it's name) that couldn't be deleted due to it being in use. I managed to eventually delete it & the prog files folder through a command prompt. I also got rid of a number of old instances of winrar in the registry (yes, I was cautious)
-> So what makes these continued prompts so odd is that winrar isn't running on my pc anymore...

-Any ideas?
-I'd like to insall the new winrar asap - should that be ok?

Cheers. :)

go to start>search, and type in winrar, delete all those files it finds
clean your registry, i reccomend regseeker, its free
now you're ready for a clean install :)

When I noticed that WinRar evaluations last for 40 days, I realized that these prompts were for something else - my bad. Anyway, I got a good reg-cleaner out of it...
Thanks, FKDUP74, but boo on the Angels (Giants fan & for getting Vlad).
