Why would you want a PS2 Bios? No emulator can play any commercial games...

Im also looking for a PS2 Bios

I only have the SCPH 1000, 1001 and 7500 PS bios.

Ps2 emulators are comming. Maybe within this year we would have some commercial games playable.

You guys will hunt and hunt and hunt for a bios, then when you find one you'll be met with sour disappointment when barely any PS2 ROMS run at a playable rate. :)

Speak for yourself, I've had quite a few games running at decent speeds.

To the original poster: You can find all you need at Torrentspy.

I have bios SCPH10000. I tested it on PCSX 2 and it worked. No games I tried were playable tho.

they're are not called roms, they're primarily called iso's. Also Final Fantasy 10 runs at a playable speed on my dual core processor...

Not to forget that a lot of games don't even boot.

So make sure you read the compatibility list (http://www.pcsx2.net/compat.php?p=1&c=$&s1=1&s2=1&s3=1&s4=1&s5=1) and are prepared to tweak things a bit. Also, if you have anything less than a dual core chip then don't bother.

Probably best you do with that chip.

Is there any advantage to playing on a PC? Higher res, perhaps?

Go to Torrentspy and search for "BIOS" you should be able to get a torrent for them there.

The emulator will play commercial games but you'll need a powerful CPU else it'll be as slow as feck. Some less demanding games (like Disagea 2) will work reasonably well on "lesser" set-ups like Vamp's.

Yep, don't forget to get the latest gpu plugins, some ppls also said on ngemu that you can get 5 - 10 fps more just be changing pcsx2.exe display settings ''run 256 colors marked''.
