Anyone know of a good Popup window blocker that would work....

Small prog size ... ideally nothing over 1 MB

Configurable ... so that I can allow certain popups ... like Netscape radio or
Windows Update etc without having to turn it off and on.

Does not slow down browsing or drain system resources.

Freeware or cracked ....

Not really interested in those that block ads .... flash & banner ads etc ... slow down my browser too much and harsh on system resources.

I use the pop-upblocker from the Google-toolbar now,but before that i used a pop-upblocker that came with a software for smileys in your hotmail or yahoomail.
It worked perfect but sadlly enough it had loads of spyware and adware in it.
So now ,my question is:Is there a way to remove the spy- and adware from the software or isn't it possible?
The link for it:smileycentral.com (http://www.smileycentral.com)
It was a really fun thing to use.And very up-to-date with the smileys too.
They even had saddam-smileys the day after they caught him
If there's a way to remove the spy/adware I'ld love to know how.

it way below 4 MB. when all installed it only 758 k. I REALLY recommend using Ad Muncher (http://www.AdMuncher.com). The web will be so much better with it and helps speed web browsing.

Pop up stopper profesional

I like Pop-Up Stopper Professional too :D . I found it to be the best. Some of those pop up blockers turn you mouse cursor into something when it finds a pop up.

I find that so freakin annoying  . Pop-Up Stopper is easy to turn off or on and never annoys you. Best of all, it resides in the IE toolbar and doesn't clog up your start bar.

How does it work? If it just closes the pop up then it sucks.

Wasn't really interested in an advert filtering prog ....

I've been burned by Adsgone ... There were serious lags between the loading times for pages with Adsgone than without .... and if I'm going to actually slow down my browsing, I prefer the ads ... :D

In addition, it took up too much System Resources .... over 12,000 K of memory usage according to Task Manager.

But now that AdMuncher has a lot of recommendations, I'm considering it .. how is it with memory usage? .... and does it have a lag?

I checked their site and they claim to use some process which does not cause a lag ... but I'd prefer to hear it from someone actually using the program ;)

there is no lag at all and uses very little cpu and mem.It stops only un-wanted pop up. It is smart enough to know when you want a pop up and if something does not work like it should then it not that hard to make it work.

I was pleased with the Google toolbar when I used IE. I mainly just use Avant Browser or Opera which both have good pop up blockers in them. I don't want to start a browser war but there are alternative browsers that do a great job with pop ups, but for IE like I said, Google Toolbar worked great.

Admuncher rocks. It blocks pop ups, banners, flash ads, floating ads, even those annoying GOOGLE ads!

Tried Admuncher ... sweet prog so far .... very light on the resources an average of 5,000 K of RAM ... no lag for pages display .... lots of configuration options

No popups .... no banner ads ... ;) Best I've used so far ..

Thanks for recommending this .... :beerchug:

Hopefully it keeps up :D ...
