Recovering Corrupt .dat Files

I have a large file (343mb) that I thought I had copied to CD that now will not let me recopy back to my hard drive without a Cyclic Redundancy Check error message. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to repair said file? It's a movie that I have been downloading for a long time as I don't seem to have much joy in getting a regular flow. Suggestions appreciated.

the file on the cd probably was a bad burn. Try coping it on a different computer to test it an see if you get the same error. If you do then you know it is a bad burn. If it works then maybe your cd rom drive is going bad.
